Abby is an inquisitive and strategic thinker with expertise in marketing and public relations. She is passionate about using words and technologies to unite and inspire people toward a fairer, more equitable and sustainable future.

As a consultant at Ellis Jones, Abby is excited to build on her diverse sector experience, through her work with Energy Safe Victoria, LCI Melbourne, Footscray Community Arts Centre and Just Better Care.

Previously, Abby worked in local government as a marketing, communications and engagement specialist. In this space, she drove innovation by using digital technologies to enhance community engagement on complex, large-scale community infrastructure projects.

In her work with the community legal sector, Abby delivered strategic communications campaigns that helped to restore over $55million in funding to legal services across Australia. She also drove media relations and messaging work for the Smart Justice for Young People advocacy project, in partnership with community advocates and other not-for-profits.

Abby’s career began in the arts as a media relations professional at Victoria’s inaugural Indigenous literary festival (Blak & Bright), the NGV, the Wheeler Centre and Express Media.

Abby has a Bachelor of Professional Communication (Media, Public Relations and Journalism) and a Bachelor of Justice and Criminology (Hons.) from RMIT University.
