Gabrielle is a communications strategist, with digital, placemaking and strategic planning experience, and a passion for helping people adopt environmentally-friendly behaviours.
She works across the agency’s communications and social impact teams on a diverse range of work including climate communications, energy campaigns, community consultation for waterways and environmental change and library strategy and planning. Her clients include the Victorian Government, a range of local councils and not-for-profit organisations.
With strong digital expertise, Gabrielle executes social media and digital advertising campaigns in close coordination with clients and media buying agencies or media outlets.
Raised in Canada, Gabrielle brings a mix of government and commercial communications experience to Ellis Jones. Since moving to Melbourne she has gained in-depth experience in placemaking. Her work has predominantly involved conducting research (desktop, community and stakeholder engagement) to progress the development of a new precinct for Development Victoria. This resulted in the delivery of a place and people analysis, a place vision report, and a place activation strategy to further engage with the local community while the precinct is being developed.
Gabrielle began her career delivering digital marketing campaigns for a multinational cosmetics company, Yves Rocher, in Canada. Gabrielle is well versed in marketing and communications, people-focused research and analysis, strategy-making, client and project management, stakeholder and community engagement.
She is degree qualified, graduating from McGill University in Canada with a Bachelor of Commerce having majored in Marketing and Human Resources. She also holds a Master of Environment from the University of Melbourne.
