Seeing is believing.

Sony has publically said the future is 3D, with the CEO working to align the company – movies, hardware, gaming, everything – to that utopian vision. Now, Google has – through acquisition – shown a commitment to the 3D desktop. Adobe has integrated 3D capabilities into Acrobat. I feel as though we’re watching the waters receed here before the next innovation tsunami hits – 3D with everything, 3D with chips.

That said, the most discussed of the many types of 3D technology, movie making – and I’m married to someone in the trade, isn’t quite good enough to justify the hype just yet. As they say, ‘watch this space’; or, perhaps, ‘the future’s so bright, we’ve all got to wear funny glasses’.
