Challenge

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) challenged to Ellis Jones was to create an overarching event concept that immediately and compellingly communicated activity and achievement in the renewable energy agency.

Response

We developed and presented three conceptual directions in response to the challenge, they were; ‘Power source’, ‘The speed of change’, and ‘Its happening’. The latter was the route that we pursued.

The core visual device was a series of charts / dials across a spectrum of colours from orange to green. The charts were all differently oriented around 360 degrees, suggesting motion and progress.

The colour scheme was intentionally highly saturated and energetic, again connoting movement and activity, even in a static printed form. The brand was activated through application to a wide range of event collateral, from ‘slider’ VIP invitations, to lanyards, banners, flyers, social graphics and digital signage.
