CASE STUDY: Ellis Jones produced COTA NSW’s Grandparents Day website using our full suite of web design services.
Council on the Ageing NSW (COTA NSW) is an independent, non-partisan, consumer-based non-government organisation and is the peak organisation for people over 50 in NSW. After developing their main website in 2011, Ellis Jones was engaged to again provide COTA NSW with our full suite of web design services, delivering a new website for Grandparents Day.
In 2011 the NSW State Government chose to recognise the contributions that grandparents make by launching Grandparents Day. Grandparents Day is facilitated by COTA NSW and acknowledges the vital role that grandparents play in society, both as custodians of individual and cultural memories and as providers of care, love and guidance to their children and grandchildren.
Our challenge was to develop a new website for Grandparents Day with the ability to communicate:
- Community run events and activities
- Grandparent of the Year awards
- A refreshed, playfulvisual identity
- Competitions and incentives
The site needed to be easy to use for external people and organisations uploading events as well as COTA NSW web administrators.
To fulfill COTA NSW’s requirements, we provided the following services:
- Web design
- Visual identity
- Web development
- CMS customisation
- eNews integration
- Social media sharing
- Google, email and social media analytics
The website is fun and engaging while achieving the highest web accessibility standards – important when considering the potential for users to be vision impaired. The eNewsletter reflects website visual identity. Take a look at the finished product here.
